The Villain ROM is another great ROM for your GSM Galaxy Nexus, can be overclocked to 1.35Ghz with pretty much stock apps but optimized for better performance and battery life.

If you want a fast, stable ROM with lots of battery life, you might want to give the Android Revolution HD ICS ROM a go. Based on Android 4.0.2, this ROM is much faster over stock with optimizations that will give you better life.

One of my favorite ROMs on Nexus One and Nexus S have been CyanogenMod ROMs. As far as I can remember, I think CyanogenMod ROMs were one of the first ROMs available for Android smartphones.
