XenonHD ROM for Galaxy Nexus! [GSM/Verizon/Sprint][PIE Control]

Looking for a solid ROM like AOKP or JBSourcery? Well, here’s another great ROM you can try, XenonHD ROM.

Based on Android 4.2.1, the XenonHD ROM has very similar features to AOKP’s ROM Control Settings with some more additional features like build prop editor, PIE Control, and some more.

It’s not all too-different from AOKP but it does offer those subtle differences that may satisfy your cravings for a new ROM.

So, what are you waiting for? Try the ROM of the week and let me know how this ROM compares to the others.

JBSourcery ROM for Galaxy Nexus! [GSM/Sprint/Verizon][Best ROM]

Looking for the latest and best on the Galaxy Nexus? Well, in my humble opinion, JBSourcery ROM by Team Sourcery is probably the best on the market right now.

JBSourcery ROM offers nearly identical features to AOKP’s ROM Control settings and even more customizations.

Best of all, JBSourcery ROM is very stable, runs near flawless in my testings.

Especially for developers and hard-core users, JBSourcery ROM provides every little customization at the tip of your fingertips. For example, changing boot animations (choose from over 200+) is easy as one-click

AOKP MR1 ROM for Galaxy Nexus! [Android 4.2.1]

AOKP MR1 has just been released for Galaxy Nexus! Based on latest Android 4.2.1, the AOKP MR1 brings the stability/speed of Android 4.2.1 and AOKP ROM Control customization into perfect harmony.

One of the major features added in AOKP MR1 include the ability to add unlimited/any widgets to the lockscreen. This is very useful since you don’t even have to unlock your phone to check your e-mail, watch your stocks using stock widgets, check out weather in other countries you travel frequently, and much more.

I also feel like the latest AOKP MR1 has improved vastly

Xylon ROM for Galaxy Nexus! [GSM/Verizon/Sprint]

Here’s a new ROM that’s been sizzlin’ the town lately, the Xylon ROM.

Based on latest Android 4.2.1 with a mix of enhancements, the Xylon ROM is a very fast, efficient ROM bringing you the best on Android 4.2.1 and customization not seen on other ROMs.

One of my favorite features is the inverted shortcut bar in the notification area, makes it easier on my eyes to see and the customizable navigation bar ring.

If you haven’t tried this ROM yet, definitely give it a go and let me know what you think of it.

Android 4.2.1 ROM + Root for Galaxy Nexus! [GSM/Verizon/Sprint]

Android 4.2.1 was just announced for the Galaxy Nexus, for those of you who want to get it and also keep root, you can install a stock Android 4.2.1 ROM with root using your ol’ friend ClockworkMod Recovery/ROM Manager.

The new update doesn’t have major changes other than added bluetooth HID support for gamepad/joystick and changes to overall platform. But the changes to platform should mean faster and more stable software than ever.

And the other good news is that Android 4.2.1 is available for all GNex variants including GSM, Verizon, and Sprint.

For this week’s ROM of the week, check out Eclipse Jelly Bean ROM for your Galaxy Nexus.

Available for all variants including GSM, Sprint, and Verizon, the Eclipse ROM is “very similar” to AOKP ROM with subtle changes such as more options for battery settings. Now, you probably won’t see much difference from AOKP but this is another great upcoming development team you should keep your eye on.

For flasholics out there, definitely give this ROM a go and let me know what you think!

MinCO Jelly Bean ROM for Galaxy Nexus GSM!

Many people have asked me to do a review on the MinCO Jelly Bean ROM and I’ve actually been running it for the last whole week for my GSM Galaxy Nexus.

This isn’t a ROM for everyone but for those of you looking for a minimalist styled ROM while giving you subtle improvements over stock Jelly Bean.

Some notable features include full Franco kernel support out of the box, volume boost on rear speaker/phone speaker/headset/microphone, and performance improvements.

Built from scratch, the MinCO certainly lives up to its name, very minimal yet efficient.

Gapps 4.2 for Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and 4.1.2!

For those of you on Jelly Bean 4.1.1 or 4.1.2, upgrade your Gapps (Google apps) to Android 4.2, which comes with Gmail 4.2, Photo Sphere camera, 4.2 Calendar app.

I’ve tested this new Gapps 4.2 on many Galaxy Nexus JB ROMs and works flawless out of the box.

Just a rule of thumb, if you are running any Jelly Bean ROM Android 4.1.1 or 4.1.2, this should work pretty well.

Also, you can try flashing an ICS Gapps or Jelly Bean Gapps, if it doesn’t not work out for you, that should restore your phone to work correctly (but do make a backup ROM just in case
