For this week’s ROM of the week, check out Eclipse Jelly Bean ROM for your Galaxy Nexus.

Available for all variants including GSM, Sprint, and Verizon, the Eclipse ROM is “very similar” to AOKP ROM with subtle changes such as more options for battery settings. Now, you probably won’t see much difference from AOKP but this is another great upcoming development team you should keep your eye on.

For flasholics out there, definitely give this ROM a go and let me know what you think!

With AOKP Milestone 1, I was having random System UI crashes with my drop down menu and soft keys disappearing. I had VERY bad issues with dropped calls and going from full 4G service to NOTHING, instantly. My picture messages hardly ever sent also. I would have to forward the same image to the same person and even then it sometimes wouldn’t send.

Thanks for the review of this Rom. I’ve used it with very minimal issues. The dark theme is nice but it’s a bit difficult to see some of the text, maybe I’m just not used to it yet. I haven’t had any dropped calls with Verizon and my images send without issues. The only two complaints I have about this rom so far: Theme is a bit too dark in some instances and the soft key menu is a mimic of CM10. I hate not having the option to create up to 7 softkeys. I’m willing to look past that solely for the solid data connectivity and pictures being sent via texting.

Thanks for the solid review and I’m a long time viewer of all your videos. Keep up the great work and thanks from Mebane, NC for you dedication-

I was really disappointed with this rom on my nexus (sprint). It didn’t have a lot of my customizations that I was used to plus it was buggy. Randomly the phone would quick sending/receiving texts using GoSMS while the stock rom and AOKP had no problem. Also, could not access my camera from the loader. I’m going to try out 4.2.1 and then probably go back to AOKP
