Looking for a liquid smooth ROM that runs the latest Android 4.0.4 on your Galaxy Nexus? Well, I’ve been guilty of flashing almost every ROM out there for the Galaxy Nexus last whole week and this ROM is actually my favorite of them all. It also runs Franco kernel so you can overclock to 1.344Ghz.
UPDATE: See updated version 1.4!!!
Honestly, a lot of Android 4.0.4 Galaxy Nexus ROMs are looking very similar but for some reason, I keep coming back to this one, I feel like it’s “just a tad” better than every other ROM out there right now.
Try it out (as you’ve got nothing to lose if you backup your current ROM), and let me know how it works for you!

Please answer me I installed this rom but no Arabic support
I can’t read it at all . Is there a package or a file to fix it and install the language after it was removed ???
sorry i like the rom but there is no music player that is sad because i all way listen to music
U can download music player from android market,
I use winamp, it’s simple and it has great widget.
Any Language pack for this rom?
you could just download play music by google since it comes on the nexus anyway. Any who, love this rom and favorite part is the ability to change buttons to a back key, home button(long press for recent apps) and last but my favorite favorite is the search button. yay Thanks dev
1. As others have commented, any language pack? Hebrew, to be specific.
2. How do I restore notification icons to appear at the top (without the need to expand the notification status area). For example, I would like temp, skype status, etc. to appear constantly on the top.
3. How to toggle keyboards (language input) if I am using additional keyboard such as swype and anysoftkeyboard?
I appreciate any help whatsoever.
I was just thinking if you just disable android keyboard it should bring up what ever keyboard you have enabled. Let me know if it works for you.
For everyone pissed about no keyboard switcher in the status bar:
Settings -> Liquid Control -> General -> IME Switcher (enable it!!!)
MUST REBOOT TO TAKE EFFECT!!!
Enjoy multiple keyboards
Wow I never noticed you couldn’t change keyboards…. Just tested it and that is a kinda week. Just discovered webOS card view so I forgive you. However after transferring files I I lost everything including my factory backu for my phone. Now I have to restore to factory and start all over.
Both the GSM and CDMA ROMs fail when I attempt to install them with TWRP (I have a Sprint branded GNex). Have you tested this on that platform?
In fact, it doesn’t seem like any of the ROMs are working for me. I’ve tried 3 and they all fail with this message: “assert failed: getprop(“ro.product.device”) == “toro” || getprop(“ro.build.product” == “toro” E: Error in /sdcard/update.zip (Status 7)
Are these ROMs not configured to work on the Sprint Galaxy Nexus? I am using the CDMA versions.
I’ve had to install toroplus or torospr roms. I’m running the AOKP torospr milestone 5 and its working great. I’m also running the franco kernal w/ it. I underclocked it but for some reason I’m having horrible battery life w/ this combo so I’m going to be testing out some other things as well.
Oh and the torospr is for the sprint version of the gnex.
Hey Max,
Big fan, been watching your apps and tutorials since I had my Droid Bionic.
Anyway, there are lots of great new AOKP Axi0m Crossbreed ROMs which are becoming known as the Milestone… I didn’t fond here on your site, but I would love to see you do a review of it!
Thanks for all the hard work!
This is definetaly the best ics rom for nexus. Thanks for sharing. I’ve become a great fan of your site. I have just a couple questions about this rom. First, I could not install the extras zip file for GSM version. But only rom zip file seems fine. I have no idea what I am missing with the extras.
Other Question I have: When I was fooling around liquid setting I guess I screwed up some settings as I can not see small notification icons in notification bar. I can only see notifications when I pull down the notification center.
I also have the problem of display small notification icon on the notification bar, only can see them when pull down, anyone can help?
Great rom, i really like the performance so far. I do not care much about all the customizations available, but it is nice to have them. We will se about the battery life… What I hate is the ugly google search bar. Is there a way to restore the nice ICS see-through one?
Very nice rom i am on it for about 3 day and i can tell that the batery life is much better on this one and on gummy then on cyanogen9
Quick question about flashing extras. Is the sequence to flash the image, reboot, and then flash extras without wiping the cache? Should I still wipe Dalvik? Also, folks on XDA keep referencing gps fix 1.25. Any thoughts on that? Thanks again on a great site!
hi,
the rom on a whole is real awesome.
but i am not able to use the call waiting swrvice properly,
if there’s a call waiting then the current call i am in goes on hold..
this haapened with foxhound 4.0.4 rom as well
AOKP milestone 5 trumps liquid…
If I take a step back and look at the overall experience of this ROM versus stock 4.0.2 (It’s almost like Verizon is begging me to ROOT my phone), it’s night and day difference. Battery is improved greatly, speed is improved noticeably, rotation is fast…….It’s like I just got a new phone. It’s caused me to think about my choice of handset is now similar to building a PC. Buy the hardware you want and load the OS that works best for you. Not knowing what I was getting when I bought a GNex I am surprised of how this ROM works with the TI chip (on the fly voltage adjustments). Knowing what I know now, I would gladly pay for this ROM.
Great work.
Agreed. Truly a “new phone” experience coming from stock…

hi my galaxy nuxus is stuck on a “google” screen alls it does when i turn it on is say google. any ideas on how to fix this problem? i didnt drop it or get it wet i was talking on the phone and then it just all of a sudden truned off and went to the google screen. HELP!!!
Hmmm dunno what happened there but you can try clearing cache and dalvik cache that can fix it.
HELP for a noob. Flashed the rom and rebooted. Boot sequence it stuck on the Liquid Blue Screen with the liquid sloshing around. Any ideas?
try wiping cache and dalvik cache in CWM.
Did a factory reset/restore and the new rom works great.
I had the same issue with it booting. I performed the entire cleaning deal before installing Liquid Smooth. It worked great for a week. I used the Google Music Player (Play) app for about five minutes and the phone froze entirely. It rebooted and stuck in the boot screen. I figure if this happens for now apparent reason, it’s time to move on.
Whatever.
